The Vectran™ LCP (liquid crystal polymer) braid is an extremely stable and resilient synthetic braid with the following main features:

• High strength-to-weight ratio
• Good creep and tensile strength
• High abrasion resistance
• Very low bending fatigue properties
• Minimal moisture absorption
• Excellent chemical resistance
• High temperature resistance

We use Vectran™ LCP braiding to reinforce the outer sheath of various multicore speaker cables, giving them more stability and strength both inside and out. This prevents core twisting inside the cable. In addition, the LCP braiding provides excellent protection against any kind of strong mechanical stress from the outside.

The fiber jacket reinforced with Vectran™ results in a very high tensile strength of up to 200 MPa (= megapascal) (1 MPa = 1 million Pa = 1N/mm²).
